The people from the First Division had never stopped mocking their Second Division. Ginzo Nakamori wanted to catch Phantom Thief Kid not only to vent his anger, but also to erase their past humiliation and make others see them in a new light.
"The helicopter is already here." Conan glanced at the helicopter slowly flying toward them, then looked at Phantom Thief Kid.
The suffering Phantom Thief Kid raised his head, enduring the pain as he looked up at the helicopter in the sky. His gaze suddenly sharpened.
Supporting himself as he stood up, Phantom Thief Kid studied Conan for the first time.
"Little brother, you don't seem to be ordinary."
"My name is Conan Edogawa. I'm a detective," Conan said calmly, turning back.
Phantom Thief Kid cautiously glanced at Akemi. This was no time to investigate why this child was unusual—he needed to leave quickly.
Ever since inheriting the title of Phantom Thief Kid, he had pulled off more than one or two heists, but this was the most bedraggled he had ever been. His chest still hurt.
"Phantom Thief Kid, what are you going to do now? If you don't run soon, the helicopter will be here."
Phantom Thief Kid glanced at the helicopter. To be honest, he did not care about the helicopter at all. What concerned him were Chen and Akemi.
He could not even describe that woman's strength. That punch from earlier had felt as though he had been hit by a truck.
"There's only one chance to use the tranquilizer gun: when his back is turned to me." Conan secretly activated the tranquilizer gun, waiting for Phantom Thief Kid to turn and flee.
He wanted to seize this chance to subdue Phantom Thief Kid and bring the infamous thief to justice.
