So You Like Little Girls

"If you want to know, go find out for yourself." Vermouth smiled faintly at the curious Yukiko Kudo.

Yukiko was genuinely a little curious. That Akako Koizumi often seemed rather abnormal, wore strange clothes, and that little girl named Ai Haibara did not seem like a child at all.

And then there was Vermouth. Yukiko found her very mysterious. Only the policewoman Miwako Sato and Akemi Miyano seemed relatively normal.

Chen arrived at Ai Haibara's room and found Akako Koizumi and Ai Haibara staring intently at the computer, while Akemi sat beside them.

"You're back, Chief." The moment Akemi saw Chen enter, she immediately stood up and greeted him.

"What are those two doing?"

"They're researching an antidote for APTX4869. Akako is also very interested in this drug and wanted to study it." Akemi explained to Chen.

Chen found it rather strange. It was perfectly normal for Ai Haibara to study it, but could Akako really do so? Although APTX4869 had extraordinary effects, it was ultimately a product of science. Akako Koizumi was a witch—her potion-making was entirely different from this.

Watching Akako's serious expression, Chen asked, "Can you understand it?"

Chen looked at the text on the computer screen and could not make sense of a single word. Could Akako Koizumi understand it?

"No. I'd better stick to studying my magic." Akako Koizumi shook her head. She could not understand any of the material at all.

Ai Haibara was extremely serious. Naturally, she understood all of this perfectly well, but even with the information, developing an antidote was far from easy.

"Ai, didn't you say this was fine too? Why are you working so hard on an antidote?" Chen rubbed Ai Haibara's head.

"I just want to develop an antidote." Ai Haibara brushed
