Miwako did not react much to this. After all, she was no longer the Miwako Sato who had once hated evil and upheld justice.
Besides, that guy had been following Shin, so Shin had killed him. He deserved to die.
"We haven't found the killer. This case is very tricky; I suspect it was done by a professional hitman," Inspector Megure said with a sigh.
Cases involving hitmen were generally difficult to solve, especially when it came to formidable professionals like Gin. They were simply beyond the likes of Inspector Megure and the others.
Conan looked at Shin. He suspected that this incident was absolutely connected to Hyuga Shin, but he had no evidence. It was all merely speculation.
"Do we have any information on the victim?" Miwako asked curiously.
What she really wanted to know was who would follow Shin, and what their purpose had been.
"No. There's no information at all—he's a complete blank slate," Wataru Takagi replied.
"So that means we don't even know what country the victim was from?" Miwako frowned and looked at Shin questioningly.
Just who had Shin offended? Could he be in danger?
Shin gave Miwako a reassuring look. Though he did not know who had sent that person to follow him, he did not care.
"We questioned the people here, but none of them knew him. They had no idea why the victim had come here or why he was killed," Inspector Megure said, patting his head.
"By the way, Brother Mouri, do you have any clues?" Inspector Megure asked Kogoro Mouri.
"Huh? I do have a little clue."
"Hm?" Inspector Megure's eyes lit up.
Miwako's gaze sharpened at that, and she looked toward Shin. Kogoro Mouri had become famous recently, and he certainly had real skill. Could he have discovered something?
