Tomoko Suzuki spoke to Chen.
"Besides, after all these years, I feel tired. I want to find someone to lean on, and I think you're very suitable."
"If that's the reason, then I'm sorry, but I refuse."
Chen smiled faintly, then suddenly stood up and spoke to Tomoko Suzuki.
"Why?"
"Actually, I don't care about money. You should know that I'm not short of money. As far as I'm concerned, as long as I have enough, that's fine. Even if someone gave me a huge foundation, I wouldn't care for it."
Chen spoke with utmost seriousness. He truly meant it—if a huge foundation were thrown right in front of him, he genuinely would not be interested.
"You're the first person like this I've ever met. Among all the upper-class people I've known, there isn't a single one who doesn't like money. You're very special."
Tomoko Suzuki was serious. Chen truly was the strangest person she had ever met; he actually did not care about money at all.
To be honest, even she could not reach that level.
What Tomoko Suzuki did not know was that money was simply of no use to Chen.
"So you don't care about money, but what about other things? Don't forget what I told you before." Tomoko Suzuki's gaze flickered as she spoke to Chen.
Seeing Tomoko Suzuki wink at him, Chen understood. How could he not? This was something Chen would not refuse. He smiled slightly at Tomoko Suzuki, and everything was understood without being said.
"Chen, what exactly were you talking about with Tomoko Suzuki?"
After Chen came out, Akako Koizumi grabbed his hand and asked him.
"Nothing. Why are you asking so much?" Naturally, Chen would not actually tell Akako Koizumi what he and Tomoko Suzuki had discussed.
"Why hasn't she
