To witness the return ceremony of the Targaryen royal family, nobles from across the Seven Kingdoms poured into King's Landing over the following days.

Among them were Brynden "Blackfish" Tully, who had arrived from the Westerlands, and Dick "the Reaver" Crabb (Chapter 445).

First was Brynden Tully.

In the name of the Small Council and the Lord Regent, Gryn formally invested him as Duke of Riverrun. However, he was not granted the long-inherited Tully title of Warden of the Trident.

From then on, Brynden's House Tully became one of the many vassals of the Riverlands sworn to House Crabb.

Afterward, upon the Lord Regent's personal recommendation, Duke Brynden successfully secured a seat on the Small Council.

Next was Dick Crabb.

In view of his outstanding contributions to peace in the Riverlands and stability in the Westerlands, Gryn honored his earlier promise (Chapter 412), merging House Buckwell's Antlers and House Mooton's Maidenpool lands and naming them the Antlers-Maidenpool.

Dick Crabb was invested as Duke of the Antlers-Maidenpool and granted the title of Warden of the Antlers-Maidenpool.

The investiture ceremony was held in the majestic and solemn Throne Room, where numerous nobles gathered to witness the glorious occasion.

As the ceremony neared its end, Dick Crabb could no longer suppress his excitement, and tears streamed down his face.

First Gryn, then everyone around them, broke into warm, good-natured laughter.

Once the ceremony officially ended, Duke Dick Crabb, his eyes slightly red and swollen, suddenly scratched his head. He had noticed something amusing: his wife—the Countess of Maidenpool—was not only his wife, but also his vassal.
