Feng Xiaotian was recognized as Godwind Academy's strongest younger-generation student. His Innate Full Soul Power and mutated Gale Two-Headed Wolf martial soul gave him exceptional speed, attack, defense, and aerial-combat potential. Rather than advancing his Soul Power as quickly as possible, he spent years refining his self-created Gale Demon Wolf Consecutive Slash. 9 20

At the Three Academy Exchange Tournament, Godwind Academy deliberately lost to Blazing Fire Academy so that Feng Xiaotian could challenge Skywater Academy's Shui Bing'er in a fair one-on-one match. He regarded a team battle as less meaningful because his side held a substantial advantage and wanted to test himself against her at full strength. 17

Feng Xiaotian is highly confident in his talent and combat ability, at times to the point of arrogance. He initially challenged Shui Bing'er despite sacrificing his academy's team advantage, and later dismissed Shrek Academy before proposing a winner-takes-all duel with Tang San. 17 136 137

Feng Xiaotian arranged a one-on-one duel with Shui Bing'er after Godwind Academy intentionally lost to Blazing Fire Academy. He countered her control with his physical strength, used Gale Wings to seize the air, and revealed his Gale Demon Wolf Twenty-Seven Consecutive Slash when her External Soul Bone removed his aerial advantage. 17 18 19 20

Despite bringing the skill to its final strike, he was defeated when Shui Bing'er condensed her phoenix feathers into a giant ice blade. He accepted the loss and was advised to stop suppressing his Soul Power and cultivate diligently. 21 22

By the Heaven Dou preliminaries, Feng Xiaotian had become a Rank 51 Soul King with a ten-thousand-year soul ring. His speed and sharp Gale Blades led Godwind Academy to its eleventh victory and handed Thunderclap Academy captain Yu Tianxin his first defeat. 116 123

During the advancement matches, Feng Xiaotian challenged Shrek Academy to settle the result through a single duel against Tang San.
