"Who is this?" Su Mo stared at An Shang and asked doubtfully.
Though he asked aloud, Su Mo had already guessed that this gaunt old man was the Shadow Race's patriarch.
"Su Mo, this is the patriarch of our race!" An Jian said gravely.
"Pleased to meet you."
Su Mo nodded at An Shang, then swept his gaze over the three of them and said in a deep voice, "Since the Shadow Race followed my instructions and attacked the Overlord Race, I presume your Shadow Race has made up its mind and is willing to follow me!"
"Su Mo, we are not following you. We are merely cooperating with you!" An Jian shook his head.
The reason they had followed Su Mo's instructions was, first, because Su Mo could grant them great fortune, and second, because An Jian's life and death were under Su Mo's control.
"As you wish!"
Su Mo shook his head slightly. Whether it was following or cooperating, he could not be bothered to argue with them.
Once they received enough benefits, they would understand that following him was far better than cooperation.
"How has your Shadow Race settled down?" Su Mo looked around at the three and asked gravely.
"For the time being, we have settled in a small world within the Xuanzang Star River!"
An Shang spoke, continuing, "However, for safety's sake, we will relocate every so often."
They were extremely cautious, for they knew the Overlord Race would certainly not let them off.
And for the Overlord Race to find them would be far too easy.
They only needed to have Old Man Heavenly Secrets make a calculation, and their hiding place would be revealed. Thus, for the sake of safety, they could only temporarily live like homeless dogs.
There was no helping it.
