The messages Lin had tried to send over the past few months had all vanished without a trace. Her deliberate avoidance made him give up on trying to find her.

The two of them were remarkably alike in their stubbornness. Once they had decided not to meet, not even the end of the world could force them together.

But today, without any warning...

"Are you deaf?" Mobius crossed her arms and glanced sideways at the stunned Lin, unable to hide the mockery at the corner of her lips. "Was seeing me really that surprising?"

"Yeah." Lin nodded blankly.

That blunt response made Mobius swallow back the torrent of sarcasm she had been about to unleash. She nervously adjusted her hair, saying nothing for a long while.

Wait, this was not the time to stay silent.

Lin suddenly came back to his senses and immediately said to Mobius, "I need to go outside and find someone."

"Outside? Isn't the Stargate over there?" Mobius pointed in another direction, confused.

"Not outside Earth. Outside the Moon Base."

"...Have you lost your mind?"

"Kiana is outside."

"Has she lost her mind?" Mobius was utterly bewildered by this string of nonsense. She did not doubt that Kiana and Lin could operate in a vacuum, but what exactly were they doing? "What is she doing out there?"

"She brought Mei and Aponia with her."

"...Did you have a fight?"

Mobius caught a whiff of something wrong. A trace of suspicion appeared in her pinkish-green eyes.

"Come to think of it, why are you here?" Lin also realized something was off and frowned.

Mobius's expression darkened. "I can't be here?"

"That's not what I meant." Lin responded quickly. "I mean, you came here without telling me. I didn't even know."
