"...What exactly are you trying to do?" Lin grabbed Mobius by the back of her collar as she turned to run.
"You should be asking yourself that." Mobius slapped Lin's hand away irritably. "You really are full of initiative. The moment you finished telling us your little story about another world, you immediately went to find her and brought her back. Are you satisfied now? Have you even thought about how to handle this?"
"I think there are quite a few people among us who look alike."
There were three Theresas alone.
"That's not the issue." Mobius rubbed her head and shook it.
In truth, Mobius was only somewhat annoyed. She was one of the few people who had never felt any sense of crisis. Having another Elysia around merely meant twice the noise in the future. But the others would feel as though a cake that was already too small to share had suddenly been attacked by a big eater who took a third of it in one bite.
"Anyway, you'd better take responsibility." Mobius shrugged. "There's still a long road ahead. For people like us, we might not die even when the universe falls silent. Besides, I still have my research to continue."
Mobius had never given up on making humanity perfect. And after everything she had experienced, she had now found a new direction.
"Enjoy it. This was your choice, after all."
Mobius waved her hand. Just as Lin was about to say something, two changed Elysias rushed out and dragged him back inside.
"Lin! Can you tell us apart?"
"Do you need to smell us? Or perhaps... feel us some other way?"
Amid the screams of a certain normally stone-faced person, Mobius smiled and walked out of the room.
"Lin's Diary, Amber Era 2158."
"I
