The phone rang several times before someone finally picked up.

A gruff male voice, tinged with irritation, came from the other end of the line.
"It's me, Lee Stein."
Li Si's lips curled into a faint smile. "Jonathan, time to get up and take a piss!"

As soon as he heard Li Si, Jonathan angrily pounded the mattress a few times and said:
"Lee, did you really call to wake me up just to tell me to take a piss? My kidneys work just fine. I don't need to get up in the middle of the night, damn it!"
"All right, all right. Actually, I'm calling about something serious."
Picturing Jonathan's expression, Li Si grinned. "Telling you to get up and take a piss was just a bonus. I wasn't implying anything about your bodily functions."
"You'd better make sure what you have to say is serious enough, or next time we meet, I'll let you taste Boulder's fury!"
Jonathan's voice was full of menace over the phone.
"I need to discuss a partnership with your general. Is that serious enough?"
Li Si paid no mind to Jonathan's threat. He still wore an easy smile.
He hadn't met Jonathan's general, but based on his partnership with Osborn, Li Si could already make a pretty good guess. It had to be a general he knew well.
