"Prepare for impact!" Tang Shizhe shouted as he watched the Planet Devourer accelerate toward the Andromeda.

All crew members activated the magnetic adhesion devices on their bodies. Under normal circumstances, it was almost impossible for them to experience any jolting inside the Andromeda.

A ship as massive as the Andromeda would only be shaken if it collided with a large object, such as the moon.

Against a Planet Devourer of such immense size, the Andromeda's fortress cannons and secondary guns were almost useless.

Those attacks could not cause the monster any substantial damage. Even the wounds on its body had merely been torn open by its own sudden acceleration.

Several minutes later, the Planet Devourer spread its legs toward the Andromeda. The seemingly sturdy Andromeda shield shattered the instant it came into contact with the Planet Devourer.

With such tremendous speed combined with the impact generated by the Planet Devourer's mass, even the shield powered by the Andromeda's core reactor could not withstand it.

After a violent tremor, the Andromeda's bridge was plunged into darkness. However, the blackout lasted less than a second before the lights came back on.
