Purple and Green Intertwined, Powder of Creation
Yun Jingheng sat down cross-legged at the edge of the depression.
He didn't choose the cracked, grayish-black soil at the bottom of the depression, nor the unusual reeds around the pond. Instead, he chose the ridgeline of the raised earthen slope at the edge of the depression, which allowed the sky and earth to each occupy half of the space on either side.
His left side faced the scorching earth, and his right side faced the icy pond. The sunlight fell from directly overhead, slightly to the south, shrinking his shadow into a short, round shape that rested precisely between his crossed knees.
He first took out the box from his Storage Soul Tool and placed it on the ground three feet in front of him. He opened the lid, and the pink crystal lay there quietly. Sunlight fell on its edges, reflecting a small patch of pulsating light, like a miniature heart beating slowly.
Then he closed his eyes.
When he breathed, it was very slow, about twice as slow as usual. His chest expanded more deeply, and his abdomen bulged slightly. When he contracted, he pushed the air out layer by layer from the bottom of his lungs.
He operated at the Spirit Domain Realm level, absorbing the essence of heaven and earth. His senses, like spider webs, stretched outwards from his crown and dantian, with fine threads carrying Soul Power fluctuations spreading outwards.
He touched the left side first.
The patch of scorched, grayish-black earth, touched by his Soul Power, felt like a piece of burnt charcoal. The surface had cooled, but the inside was still smoldering. A viscous, hot, and corrosive aura flowed back along the threads of his perception, ascending along the meridians of his left arm, lingering at his shoulder, and then sinking down into his dantian along the Ren meridian.
It is Destruction.
After the aura entered his dantian, it did not immediately dissipate. Instead, it condensed into a small, dark red vortex, slowly rotating outside his Soul Power core, with fine, ember-like sparks along its edges.
Instead of dealing with it immediately, he turned his perception to the right side.
The emerald green reeds, when probed by his Soul Power, revealed a completely different texture. Each leaf was like a tiny stream, with a liquid, warm, and slowly flowing aura seeping out from between the veins, ascending along the meridians of his right arm, like a cool spring flowing from his fingertips into the Jianjing acupoint, and then sinking down into the Ren meridian.
It is life.
After the life force entered his body, it did not condense into a vortex, but instead dispersed into a thin mist, spreading between the various branches of his meridians, like a silent night rain falling on a dry riverbed.
The two energies met near the dantian.
The vortex of Destruction was on the left, the mist of life on the right, separated by his dim core of Soul Power.
The two auras did not collide immediately, but instead each lingered on its own side, like two mountain peaks that saw each other but did not touch for the time being.
Yun Jingheng's brows furrowed slightly.
He felt a subtle change in the temperature of his dantian. The left side was heating up, while the right side was cooling down. The Soul Power core in the middle was being squeezed from both sides by these two opposing forces, and its originally round shape was being stretched and flattened slightly.
"Balance them," he told himself.
Destruction and life, one hot and one cold, one solid and one dispersed, one urgent and one slow, two completely opposite qualities were introduced into the same body at the same time. He was like a person who was holding a branding iron and a piece of ice at the same time, with both hands bearing their own extremes, but there was no third hand to reconcile them.
A scene suddenly flashed through Yun Jingheng's mind.
It was a typhoon he had seen on the news. The wind, carrying dust and debris, circled the same center point, spinning faster and faster until finally, the eye of the storm was so still that not even a speck of sand could get in. The swirling wall of wind blocked out all the violent power, leaving only a near-frozen, extreme tranquility at the center.
"Spin it."
He repeated those words to himself, and then he moved.
His Soul Power core was no longer that dim, slightly deformed sphere.
He simultaneously drew the core's power in two directions: towards the vortex of Destruction on the left, he mobilized the force field on the left side of the Soul Power core; towards the life mist on the right, he mobilized the force field on the right side. The two pulling forces stretched outward from the core, like two hands reaching out from the middle to the left and right sides at the same time.
Then, using his dantian as the center, he made the two pulling forces simultaneously begin to draw an arc.
The force field on the left drew an arc to the upper right, and the force field on the right drew an arc to the upper left.
The two arcs converged directly above his dantian, and at the moment of convergence, he felt a slight stagnation.
Before the stagnation had fully spread, he pressed both forces downwards simultaneously. The force field on the left moved to the lower right, and the force field on the right moved to the lower left, converging again directly below his dantian.
This time the stiffness was less than last time, like the repulsive force between two magnets had had a layer of sharp edges worn away.
"Continue."
He made the two forces draw arcs around his dantian again and again, each time following the same path, and each time they met twice, directly above and directly below.
At the beginning, there was a feeling of sluggishness with each intersection, but by the 10th or 15th lap, the sluggishness began to thin out, as if part of the rust layer had been worn away by repeated friction.
A fine layer of sweat appeared on Yun Jingheng's forehead.
He maintained his breathing rhythm, and with each inhale and exhale, the two pulling forces completed two more cycles.
His Soul Core was stretched and deformed during this process, from its original spherical shape to a flattened ellipsoid, and then from the flattened ellipsoid to an even more irregular shape.
But he could sense that after each deformation, the Soul Power core would "expand" slightly more than before when it returned to its original shape, like a piece of dough that had been repeatedly kneaded and was slowly becoming softer and more elastic.
We went through dozens more laps.
The vortex of Destruction and the wisp of life finally began to move.
The Destruction dark purple vortex moved from the left side of the dantian to the upper right, while the life-gold green mist moved from the right side of the dantian to the upper left. The two energies moved simultaneously along the arc path he had set, approaching the point of convergence directly above the dantian.
Yun Jingheng's breath caught in his throat for a moment.
His senses were fixed on the trajectory of the two auras: the dark purple vortex and the green-gold mist were moving in the same direction along two symmetrical arcs, their speeds almost identical, and their distances from the point of convergence almost the same.
Intersection.
The two energies collided at the point directly above his dantian.
This time it was completely different from that fleeting, slight touch before.
Destruction and life were accelerated hundreds of times within the closed cavity before crashing into the same space with considerable inertia.
In that instant, Yun Jingheng felt as if something in his dantian had shattered, or perhaps something else was being kneaded back together.
Dark purple and green gold mingled together just above his dantian, first with a violent tremor, then with alternating hot and cold sensations. Then the two forces began to rotate spontaneously around the point of intersection, without the external force of his traction field. They were carried by each other by their inertia, circling around that spot above his dantian.
It's getting faster and faster.
It was so fast that the trajectory he sensed and captured changed from a series of arcs into a blurry mass of light and shadow.
The ball of light and shadow was slowly flattened, compressed, and shaped as it spun. The boundary between dark purple and green-gold was completely worn away in the rapid rotation, turning the two colors into one: pink.
The color of the Creator God Core.
He sensed that the hybrid of Destruction and life was steadily progressing on that rotating circular track, round and round, like a gear he had personally tightened finally locking into its proper place.
But that's not enough.
He could sense it.
Although this mixed energy had begun to rotate and had temporarily stabilized, it still floated in the upper part of his dantian, without any connection to the six lunar phases. It was like a part placed aside, complete in itself but not installed in the mechanism it was supposed to be installed in.
"Go even deeper."
He retracted all the sensory tentacles of his Spirit Domain Realm, concentrating them into an extremely thin, needle-sharp probe, which pierced the center of that swirling energy.
The moment the probe pierced his skin, he froze completely.
Time seemed to stretch out.
Gu Yue stood at different heights, her eyes filled with disbelief.
The Creator God's Core Fragment that was originally placed on the ground in front of Yun Jingheng is now floating in front of his forehead, even releasing the power of creation to merge with it!
"Is the Creator God paving the way for you...?"
