Yun Jingheng, who had just left Yuanen Yehui's dormitory, wandered aimlessly around the Outer Court.

Nothing to do... so boring...

The doors of the Soul Guidance Teaching Building were wide open, and sunlight streamed in, turning the hall floor golden.

Yun Jingheng stood at the doorway, looking up at the plaque above the door frame that read "Soul Guidance Teaching Building".

His gaze lingered on the signboard for a moment, then he stepped inside.

The hall was quiet, with only a few students carrying parts hurrying by.

When they saw Yun Jingheng, they paused for a moment, then quickened their pace and slipped out through the side door as if they had seen a ghost.

Yun Jingheng didn't pay any attention, standing in the center of the hall and looking around.

The wall displays the history of the Soul Guidance Department, and the glass cabinet displays outstanding works by students from all generations.

He looked around but showed no interest.

Then he walked towards the stairwell.

The staff member on duty was sitting behind the counter, head down, organizing files.

He heard footsteps, looked up, and his expression changed drastically the moment he saw Yun Jingheng.

His fingers frantically pressed the communicator under the table.

He pressed the button several times, but Yun Jingheng had already walked over.

"Young Master Yun!"

The staff member on duty stood up, his voice trembling slightly, and forced a smile that looked more like a grimace.

"What brings you here? Is there anything I can help you with?"

Yun Jingheng looked at him, thought for a moment, and asked, "Do you have mechs?"

The staff member's smile froze.

His mind raced—a mecha? What would he need a mecha for? To pilot? To dismantle?

He pressed the communicator a few more times under the table, but the screen displayed "Transmission failed".

He looked up at Yun Jingheng's calm face and swallowed.

"Yes, yes, there are. But the mechs require authorization—"

Yun Jingheng interrupted him, "Where?"

The staff member on duty opened his mouth, as if to say something, but then swallowed it back.

He pointed to the end of the corridor, "Basement level, the Mecha Warehouse."

Yun Jingheng nodded and turned to walk towards the end of the corridor.

The staff member on duty stood there, watching his back, their expression shifting back and forth between "stop" and "don't stop".

In the end, he chose not to stop them—because he couldn't stop them anyway.

He picked up the communicator and frantically sent messages to his superiors.

The message was finally sent, but Yun Jingheng had already entered the elevator.

He watched as the elevator doors closed, and the floor number displayed on the screen changed from "1" to "-1".

He slumped into the chair and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"I can't live like this anymore."

"However... I remember that you can't open the door without permission downstairs..."

Yun Jingheng stood in front of the huge metal door, looking at the digital screen on it.

In the center of the screen was a hand-shaped design, with pale blue soul-guiding circuits flowing around it, resembling some kind of biometric identification device.

He placed his hand on it, the screen lit up, scanned his palm print, and then a line of red text popped up. "No permission."

A cold, mechanical sound came from inside the door, echoing in the empty corridor.

Yun Jingheng withdrew his hand, looked at the line of red text, and remained silent for a moment.

I don't have permission? There are places I can't access?

He turned his head and glanced at the numerous White-Grade Mecha behind him.

He looked at it for a few seconds, then took out a USB flash drive from his Storage Soul Tool.

He searched the door with the USB drive, feeling around from left to right and from top to bottom, but couldn't find any sockets.

The door was a smooth metal plate, with nothing on it except for the palm recognition area.

Wait... a palm recognition area?

He walked to the door, squatted down, and took out a carving knife from his Storage Soul Tool.

He glanced at the door panel, then at the carving knife, a smirk playing on his lips, and then began to dismantle it.

The blade of the carving knife was inserted into the gap between the door panel and the screen, and with a gentle pry, the edge of the screen lifted up slightly.

He pried it open again, and the screen lifted up a little more.

On the third click, the screen popped up with a "click," followed by several thin, hair-like soul wires.

He placed the screen on the ground, then turned and walked to the nearest White-Grade Mecha.

He climbed inside and, in the mech's cockpit, used a carving knife to pry open a cover, revealing a row of intricate interfaces.

The shape and size of the interface matched his USB flash drive perfectly.

He stared at the interface for two seconds, then took out a screwdriver from his Storage Soul Tool.

He unscrewed the screws and removed the entire interface module from the mech.

He cut the wires, held the module in his hand, and turned to walk back to the door.

He crouched down and looked at the soul-guided wires exposed behind the door.

Silver-white, light blue, and dark blue threads Entanglement, like an unbreakable knot.

He picked up the carving knife and carefully peeled back the outer sheath to reveal the metal core inside.

Then he stripped open the circuitry of the USB flash drive's interface module and connected the circuits one by one according to their colors.

He wrapped the conductive wire around his hand a few times to secure it, then stepped back and looked at his masterpiece.

He used conductive wires to attach the interface module to the door panel, leaving it suspended in mid-air, swaying precariously.

He inserted the USB drive.

A soft beep came from inside the door.

The screen lit up, not the one for palm recognition, but another small screen on the door panel.

A line of text appeared on the screen. "Reading...".

Yun Jingheng leaned against the door frame, his hands in his pockets, waiting.

The corridor was quiet, with only the faint buzzing sound of a USB flash drive reading data and the sound of wind coming from the ventilation ducts in the distance.

Then, the entire Soul Guidance Teaching Building exploded.

First, the lights in the Mecha Warehouse flickered, on and off like the heartbeat of a dying person.

Immediately afterwards, the Soul Guidance Lamp in the corridor began to flash wildly, alternating between blue and white light, like a disco.

The light tube above Yun Jingheng's head exploded with a "crack," scattering glass shards all over the floor. He tilted his head to avoid it, his face expressionless.

Then, the small screen on the door panel changed.

The progress bar disappeared, replaced by a picture—a round, black and white bear holding three incense sticks, bowing deeply in solemn worship.

The bear's eyes are red and very bright, shining like two burning embers.

It bowed once, then again, then a third time on the screen.

With each bow, the lights in the entire corridor flickered.

Yun Jingheng raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised.

He wasn't actually sure if the program he replicated and improved based on his past life's memories would work; he was just trying it out, but to his surprise, it actually ran.

And they were running quite happily.

Upstairs, the staff member on duty was slumped in a chair, staring at the monitor screen.

He was already numb when he saw Yun Jingheng squatting in front of the door dismantling the screen.

When he saw Yun Jingheng climb into the mecha cockpit to disassemble the interface, he was speechless.

He saw Yun Jingheng insert the USB drive.

Then, his computer screen changed.

The black and white bear appeared on his screen, holding three incense sticks, bowing once, then again, and then a third time.

He paused for a moment, then reached out to click the mouse, but it didn't move.

He pressed the keys, but the keyboard didn't respond.

He unplugged the power cord, but the computer wasn't turned off.

The bear was still praying.

His face turned pale. "What... what is this?"

He picked up the charging communicator, intending to make a call, when the bear appeared on the communicator, holding three incense sticks, bowing once, then again, then a third time.

He threw the communicator on the table like it was a hot potato.

"What is this?"

"Damn it! What's going on?!"

"Never mind that, think of something quickly! Otherwise, the entire academy's database will crash!"

"What can we do? The mouse won't move!"

"Quickly! Report this to the Sea God Pavilion! There's unusual data attacking the academy's firewall!"
