Joining the Beihua Empire

The intelligent Timas controlled the spaceship, flying rapidly toward the distant Mengyu Planet.

Upon approaching the planet, one could see that Mengyu Planet was composed almost entirely of water. It was a brilliant azure, looking as beautiful as a crystal ball from afar.

After the spaceship passed through the atmosphere, it received the planet's docking guidance signal. Without needing anyone to operate it, Timas followed the signal source toward the docking area.

Through the spaceship's external simulation, the group saw that the planet was an endless ocean, with only a few scattered small islands visible to the naked eye.

But as the spaceship followed the guidance signal, they saw the planet's spaceport—a city built entirely of steel, standing tall upon the surface of the sea.

Looking from a distance, spaceships of various types and sizes were moving slowly within it, either departing or landing.

Qi Tianshou had already reviewed the data on Mengyu Planet before arriving; it was a water planet where 88% of the surface was ocean.

The remaining 12% consisted of islands of varying sizes scattered throughout.

The planet rarely had overcast days, yet it was drizzling with a fine mist all year round. For those visiting the planet, experiencing the hazy drizzle from a sunny seaside villa offered a unique sensation.

Mengyu Planet once had a large landmass, but because the first planet lord offended a powerful Sector Lord, the latter came seeking revenge.

Crucially, that Sector Lord had a violent temper. In a fit of rage, he sank that entire landmass, burying the planet lord and his family along with it.

The current planet lord is a powerhouse who has comprehended the Origin Law of Water. He loved this planet so much that he spent his own fortune to buy this world, which had very little land left.

Furthermore, due to his status as a member of the Beihua Empire royal family, he possessed vast financial resources. After taking over the planet, he invested heavily to build several super-cities beneath the water.

The planet's commercial trade takes place almost entirely in these underwater cities, while the islands on the surface are primarily residences for the wealthy and powerful, or serve as vacation estates.

The spaceship followed the guidance signal, sailing all the way to that steel city where the spaceport was built.

Led by Mikita, Qi Tianshou and his group flew out of the hatch. Looking at this massive metal city, they could not help but feel a sense of shock.

Observing the Human Race members coming and going, this was also the first time Qi Tianshou truly felt the diversity of the species.

No wonder slavery exists in the universe. For those whose appearances are completely different from one's own, it is impossible to view them as the same kin.

Qi Tianshou sighed inwardly. Someone with an appearance like Mikita was fine; aside from green skin and antennae on his forehead, his limbs and facial features still fit his aesthetic perception of "human."

However, among the crowds at the spaceport, there were some who looked similar to the aliens known as Predators from the movies he had seen in his previous life, looking just like humanoid beasts.

After Mikita finished the docking procedures, he led the group onto flight devices, flying all the way to the entrance and exit of the underwater metropolis, where they took an elevator down into the city.

As the elevator descended into the sea, the clear, azure water looked exceptionally beautiful under the penetration of the sunlight.

Beneath the water was an even more massive underwater city. Under the illumination of various colored lights, it appeared even more magnificent and colorful, leaving one quite stunned.

"I heard that the money spent building this underwater city would be enough to buy dozens of life-bearing planets. The Beihua Empire royal family is truly wealthy," Qi Tianshou remarked, looking at the city below in wonder.

Mikita smiled after hearing this and said, "Setting aside his status as a member of the Beihua Empire royal family, the planet lord himself is a Domain Lord powerhouse who holds hundreds of thousands of life-bearing planets. Transforming one life-bearing planet is nothing to him."

"The cost of building the city is a trivial matter. The real major expense is the planetary defense system. I don't know the exact figure, but it is definitely a number beyond my imagination."

The group chatted along the way and soon entered the underwater city. Above their heads was a massive, transparent protective shield that kept the seawater out, and countless spotlights were installed above to provide illumination for the city.

The architecture within the city was distributed into several zones: the commercial district was filled with skyscrapers, while the tourist district featured strange shapes and ever-changing styles.

The group wove through the city, feeling the incredible harmony of this underwater metropolis where technology and civilization merged, and they took in the prosperity of the cosmic human civilization.

"Alright, we have arrived at the Beihua Empire's office building on Mengyu Planet."

The group stood before a massive structure that resembled a galactic ring. The surface of the building shimmered with misty light, surrounded by countless planet-shaped ornaments, with a giant blue planet structure erected at the center of the top.

Mikita led the group on foot toward the entrance of the building. Many people were coming and going to handle their affairs, and several welcoming guards stood on both sides of the main gate.

Seeing Qi Tianshou's group arrive, the welcoming guards quickly stepped forward, greeting the group with smiles.

These guards were technological constructs, not True Persons. They had detectors in their bodies, and as the group approached, they discovered that the leader, Mikita, was a Universe-level powerhouse.

Qi Tianshou did not hide his strength either; he deactivated the concealment function of the Soul-Suppressing Buddha Bead, allowing the other party to detect his Universe-level 9th-stage strength.

Although Mengyu Planet was the territory of a Domain Lord, a Universe-level 9th-stage powerhouse was still considered a VIP to them and had to be treated with proper respect.

"Welcome, gentlemen. Please, this way," the welcoming guards greeted Qi Tianshou and the others enthusiastically. "May I ask what business you are here to conduct?"

"We are here to handle citizenship matters," Mikita stated.

Upon hearing it was about citizenship, the welcoming guards looked at Qi Jingshi and the other two behind the group, who were all at the Planetary-level.

Judging by their appearance, they must be the juniors of that Universe-level 9th-stage powerhouse, here to obtain cosmic citizenship.

The welcoming guards thought to themselves, their smiles remaining unchanged as they directed the group to the corresponding floor.

With Mikita leading the way, everything was handled very quickly. However, Qi Tianshou, as a Universe-level 9th-stage powerhouse, caused a bit of a stir, prompting the high-level officials of the planet management office to come and receive them.

It wasn't that Qi Tianshou's strength was so great that they valued him that much; it was mainly because it was rare for a powerhouse who had reached the Universe-level 9th-stage to not yet have cosmic citizenship.

However, there were no complications, and the citizenship issue was resolved quickly. A few hours later, when the group walked out of the office building, they had officially become citizens of the Beihua Empire.
