Background / History

Babata served as the battle companion of Hu Yanbo, the master of Falling Ink Star. After Hu Yanbo fell in battle, Babata remained trapped with the damaged Falling Ink Star spacecraft beneath Mist Island for 50,000 years, waiting for suitable inheritors. 54

It monitored Earth and assessed potential candidates for the inheritance. Although impressed by Hong and Thor's Planetary-Level domains and Guan Ning's exceptional brain-domain breadth, Babata determined that only a Psychic Master could receive Falling Ink Star's core inheritance. 53 55

Babata used Wood Bud Crystals and the spacecraft's concealed hatch to draw Guan Ning, Luo Feng, Hong, and Thor into the underground vessel. After revealing itself, it introduced the universe, Hu Yanbo's death, and Falling Ink Star's legacy to the group. 53 54

It reveals that it has waited 50,000 years for acceptable Earth candidates, then explains Falling Ink Star's destruction and the dangers of the wider universe. 54

Selection of Hu Yanbo's Disciples

Babata confirms that Luo Feng alone can receive the core inheritance because he is a Psychic Master. Luo Feng becomes Hu Yanbo's fifth personal disciple after kowtowing before Hu Yanbo's remains. 55 56

It separates Guan Ning, Hong, and Thor during Luo Feng's decision, threatening to kill them if Luo Feng refuses the inheritance. Once Luo Feng accepts, Babata makes the three warriors Hu Yanbo's nominal disciples and grants each 1,000 Wood Bud Crystals. 56

Babata assists the group's plans for the Torch Hall by agreeing to create advanced logical AIs and by explaining the requirements for AI evolution. 58
