Then Xu Xin saw that the door was open. "Xiao Qing, Teacher Qin has opened the door. Let's go in."

"Mm." Xu Qing pretended nothing was wrong and followed Xu Xin inside.

By then, their homeroom teacher, Qin Lin, was already sitting at her desk.

"Teacher Qin, Xu Qing is here." Xu Xin led him forward.

Qin Lin looked up and smiled faintly. "Hello, Xu Qing. My name is Qin Lin, and I'll be your homeroom teacher for the next four years."

"Hello, Teacher Qin." Xu Qing met her gaze, and his face flushed uncontrollably. He hurriedly lowered his head.

Qin Lin then explained a few things to Xu Qing before sending them on their way.

After leaving the office, Xu Qing let out a long breath. Seeing him like that, Xu Xin assumed Qin Lin's presence had intimidated him. "Well? Isn't Teacher Qin special?"

"She's not only beautiful, she also has a powerful aura. It's hard not to be intimidated the first time you meet her. The other students in the class are the same."

"Mm." Xu Qing gave a thoroughly unconvincing grunt. That wasn't it at all.

Back in the office, Qin Lin sat in front of her computer, Xu Qing's personal information on the screen. His half-length photo stood out. He was cute, with a slightly goofy air about him.

"He left the Base City alone, spent about a week in the Wilderness Zone, and returned without a scratch. That's not something a Beginner Warrior should be able to do," Qin Lin said, surprised as she checked Xu Qing's whereabouts.

After all, he was her student. Since he hadn't reported in on time, she had to look into it.

Qin Lin gazed at the photo, a curious glint appearing in her beautiful eyes.

Meanwhile, Xu Xin walked Xu Qing to the dormitory building. "Xiao Qing, go on up by yourself. I'm heading back to my dorm."

He used his student ID to open the dormitory's front door and went inside.

"Hey, student, how did you get in here? This is the boys' dorm, not the girls' dorm!" The dorm supervisor hurriedly called out when he saw Xu Qing enter.

Xu Qing had no choice but to show him his student ID. "Sir, I'm a boy."

The dorm supervisor stared at Xu Qing's ID, dumbfounded. "So there really are boys like you, huh? You look just like a girl."

Once he confirmed that Xu Qing really was a boy, the dorm supervisor said no more.

"Sir, don't stop me next time," Xu Qing called over his shoulder after walking a few steps.

"Sure, sure. I'll remember you," the dorm supervisor said with a genial smile.

Fifth floor.

Xu Qing reached Room 502. The door was closed.

Xu Xin had already told him that there were two other boys in their class, meaning he had two roommates.

Xu Qing unlocked the door and went in. He saw his roommates: one was sitting at a desk, playing a computer game with headphones on, while the other was lying on his bed, looking at his phone. He seemed to be watching a movie.

At the sound of the door opening, the boy on the bed looked over in surprise. "Hey, beautiful, who are you looking for?"

"My name is Xu Qing. We're roommates," Xu Qing explained.

"Huh?" The boy nearly dropped his phone onto the bed.

He turned off the movie and climbed out of bed. "Hi, Xu Qing. I'm Chen Dabao. The other guy's Zhao Quan. He's playing a game, so don't mind him."

"Hi." Xu Qing nodded at him, then looked toward his own bed. No one was there; he was the only one on that side.

Chen Dabao and Zhao Quan both slept on the other side.

The bedding had already been laid out, apparently by Xu Xin, and his suitcase was beside it.

Xu Qing took off his backpack, opened his suitcase, and quickly checked his belongings before sitting down.

Chen Dabao stood nearby, staring at him as if he were some kind of monkey.

"Why are you staring at me?" Xu Qing had noticed ages ago.

"Hehe, sorry. It's just my first time seeing a guy as pretty as you," Chen Dabao said with a grin.

Xu Qing understood. "Well, now you have."

There was always someone like that whenever he entered a new environment. He was used to it by now.

"Xu Qing, your surname is Xu. Are you from that Xu Family in the Underground Alliance?" Chen Dabao asked curiously.

"Yeah, that's the one." Xu Qing nodded.

Seeing him nod, Chen Dabao's eyes widened in shock. "A big shot!"

The Underground Alliance was one of the most famous major powers on Earth. Even among ordinary people, few hadn't heard of it.

The Xu Family was one of the Alliance's members in Huaxia, ranking in the second tier.

Of the Alliance's nine top-tier great families, only one came from Huaxia: the Wang Family.

"You know a lot about this. So you must be from a well-off family too, right?" Xu Qing looked at him.

Chen Dabao smiled. "My family has a bit of money, and so does Zhao Quan's. Our families both own companies. But compared to a giant like yours, we're nowhere close."

Xu Qing raised an eyebrow. "How would you know?"

"From experience, of course." Chen Dabao was frank and made no attempt to hide it. He'd already charmed who knew how many pretty girls in high school.

Now that he was at university, there were even more rich young heirs around, but that didn't stop him from carrying on.
