Moving In

Xu Qing stared at the ceiling and giggled, feeling a bit embarrassed as he seemed to have praised his own good looks again.

"But it's the truth, isn't it? I'm just handsome, and it's only natural that everyone loves me. Xu Qing, you really are the most dashing and handsome guy around!" Xu Qing muttered to himself, intentionally speaking loud enough to be heard.

"I'm used to driving this kind of off-road vehicle," she explained on the road, noticing him observing the interior of the car.

Soon, in less than ten minutes, the vehicle drove into the University Town and entered its core area.

There stood a striking skyscraper, quite magnificent, with over a hundred floors, resembling a five-star hotel.

"We're here. My place is up there," Qin Lin said, parking the car in a designated spot.

Xu Qing stepped out, clutching his quilt in one hand, and looked up at the towering building before him.

"Is this your friend?" the young woman asked, looking at Xu Qing with a smile on her face.

"Yes, he'll be staying with me for a while. His name is Xu Qing," Qin Lin introduced him briefly before leading him into the elevator.

Watching the elevator doors close, the young woman was quite curious. "That's the first time I've seen Sister Qin bring a friend over."

Qin Lin was a teacher at Jiangnan University and a General-level martial artist at the Limit Martial Arts Hall; the staff here all knew this and held her in high regard.

"How does it feel?" Qin Lin asked, looking at him with a smile.

Xu Qing nodded and chose a room near the balcony.

"Good, my room is right next door. It seems we both like bright, open spaces," Qin Lin smiled slightly.

"Ah? Your room is right next door? Maybe I should pick a different one then," Xu Qing said, feeling embarrassed.

Qin Lin waved her hand, "It's fine. The soundproofing here is excellent; even if someone lived right next door, they wouldn't hear a thing."

As she spoke, she moved Xu Qing's belongings inside.

Everything in the room was fully equipped and ready for immediate move-in, but Qin Lin still replaced the items with Xu Qing's own things.

Xu Qing watched as Qin Lin settled his luggage in a flash, and the words that had reached his throat were swallowed back down.

"Alright, take a rest here. You can adjust things yourself later," Qin Lin said to him before closing the door and heading out.

Outside the door, Qin Lin leaned against the wall, a look of nervousness appearing on her delicate face.

Inside the room, Xu Qing sat on the soft bed and sent a message to Xu Xin, "Sister Xin, guess where I am right now?"

"At Teacher Qin's house," Xu Xin replied instantly.

"Protect yourself," Xu Xin reminded him.

"Sister Xin, you've got that wrong. You should be saying that to Teacher Qin instead. I am a dignified man, after all; who knows, I might turn into a big hungry wolf one of these days, hmph hmph," Xu Qing responded.

Xu Xin knew that Xu Qing hadn't grasped her meaning at all, but that was within her expectations—after all, he was Xu Qing, her silly younger brother.

Lying on the bed, Xu Qing still felt a sense of unreality; he had actually moved into his teacher's house.
