After resolving the crisis caused by the mysterious figure, Yahiko and the others finally had the time and energy to follow Karin in search of the legendary temple.
They had long been curious about the temple Karin claimed could bring peace to the world.
Early the next morning, the three of them, along with Kakashi and Karin, left the base.
The Land of Rain was as rainy as ever. The five carried umbrellas and, at Kakashi's suggestion, changed into ordinary clothes that wouldn't attract attention. With Karin leading the way, they left town.
Once the five had disappeared into the distance, Shiraishi appeared outside the city walls with an oil-paper umbrella. Smiling, he watched them vanish from sight.
The underground ruins Shiraishi had created were not far from the town where the Akatsuki was based.

The group pressed on. After following a winding path, they came to a sheer rock face that blocked their way.
Karin walked up to it and brushed away the dirt and debris. Beneath them, she revealed the faded emblem of the Uzumaki Clan.
"This is the place," Karin said with certainty.
Yahiko and the others came up behind her and followed the direction of her right hand, spotting the barely visible symbol.
"What is this?" Yahiko asked, looking closely.
"It's the emblem of our Uzumaki Clan," Karin said, her voice filled with nostalgia.
