The founding ceremony of the All-Continent Anti-Beast Alliance was held in Spirit Hall's main hall in Spirit City.
That day, Xue Ye of the Heaven Dou Empire attended in person with Ning Fengzhi, sect master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. The emperor of the Star Luo Empire sent his crown prince and supreme military commander, while Yu Yuanzhen, patriarch of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, personally led his delegation. Even the Clear Sky Sect sent an elder with real authority to attend. Every sect and kingdom of any standing on the continent sent key figures.
Banners filled the hall, and powerful Soul Masters gathered in droves. Factions that normally met each other blade to blade now sat around the same long table, signing their names to the All-Continent Anti-Beast Alliance Treaty and affixing the seals of their sects and empires.
Their vows rang out with resounding conviction as they shouted, "Stand together against Soul Beasts! Protect humanity!" On the surface, they shared a common hatred of the enemy, and the atmosphere was so fervent that they seemed ready to unite as one and flatten the Star Dou Forest the very next moment.
Behind closed doors, however, each faction worked its abacus more shrewdly than the next.
As the alliance's founder and leader, Spirit Hall naturally secured control over it.
Qian Daoliu did not attend the meeting, leaving the two Revered Elders, Qian Jun and Jiang Mo, to oversee proceedings. Yet anyone with discerning eyes could see that Spirit Hall was using the alliance's name to extend its feelers into the border defenses of both empires. It even proposed stationing "liaison officers" in the major sects, ostensibly to coordinate their fighting strength, but in truth to uncover each sect's hidden cards and infiltrate them with its own influence.
