Characteristics
Cultivation and Bloodlines
Soul Beasts cultivate over long periods, but cultivation age alone does not determine their actual strength. Bloodline quality and attributes can cause vast differences between creatures of the same age; a dragon-type Soul Beast may contain far more energy than an ordinary plant-type beast of equal cultivation. 41
- Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts are regarded as combatants no weaker than Title Douluo. 275
- Exceptional bloodlines can fight far above their apparent cultivation. A thirty-thousand-year Titan Giant Ape was stated to possess Soul Power and battle strength near the Hundred-Thousand-Year level. 319
- A Titan Giant Ape’s bloodline allows a hundred-year individual to rival an ordinary thousand-year Soul Beast, while a ten-thousand-year individual can contend with ordinary Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts. 319
- Soul Beasts in the secret realm’s core region were noted for unnaturally uniform cultivation levels, suggesting that some had been deliberately organized and released by age group. 363
Intelligence and Human Transformation
Most ordinary Soul Beasts possess limited intelligence until they have cultivated for approximately ten thousand years. At one hundred thousand years, they may take human form, speak human language, and awaken Martial Souls. 434 439
- A transformed Soul Beast may still be in a juvenile stage, retaining detectable Soul Beast origins and bloodline traces. 437
- At the mature stage, a transformed Soul Beast is physically and spiritually indistinguishable from a true human by the Origin Disc. 437
- Traditionally, transformed Soul Beasts awaken Martial Souls based on their original forms. 439
- Ah Yin, the Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor, gave birth before reaching maturity; her son Tang San inherited both human and Soul Beast bloodlines. 437 442
Relationship with Soul Masters
- Soul Masters hunt Soul Beasts to obtain Soul Rings, with compatibility determined by the Soul Master’s physical strength, spiritual resilience, Martial Soul attributes, and the target’s bloodline quality. 41 44
- Soul Hunting Forests are enclosed hunting grounds where Soul Beasts are kept for controlled acquisition of Soul Rings. 44 45
- Human prizes such as the King Ball and Prism Ball can forcibly capture Soul Beasts and establish obedience-based soul contracts. King Balls are effective against targets below fifty thousand years, while Prism Balls work on targets at or below one hundred thousand years; both are single-use items. 209 210
- Certain Martial Souls can contain and command Soul Beasts in battle. The Giga Battlenizer stores beast souls for revival and combat, while Ji Yi’s twelve-level tower releases dozens of mutated Soul Beasts. 321 374 376
- The Human Alliance’s anti-Soul Beast campaign led to indiscriminate hunting, including the slaughter of low-level Soul Beasts that had remained peacefully within their territories. 15

Background / History
Humanity and Soul Beasts have existed in an openly hostile relationship for ten thousand years: humans cultivate through Soul Rings, while Soul Beasts are treated as dangerous wild creatures and resources. The Human Alliance declared transformed Soul Beasts an existential threat after Tang Hao’s relationship with Ah Yin became public, triggering investigations, bloodline paranoia, and widespread hunts. 15
Within Star Dou Forest, more than a dozen veteran Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts gathered at the Lake of Life after Tang Hao’s capture. They regarded both Tang Hao and Ah Yin as traitors: Tang Hao for abducting a Soul Beast ruler, and Ah Yin for abandoning the Soul Beast race and sacrificing herself for a human. 197
The growing human threat later forced the Star Dou ferocious beasts to confront their own stagnation. Bafu argued that low-level Soul Beasts were effectively born to become Soul Rings, while even those that survived long enough to cultivate faced human hunting and repeated heavenly tribulations. 438
Beastman Evolution Plan
Bafu proposed that Soul Beasts evolve through beastman forms and ultimately become human, allowing them to survive inside human society rather than remain confined to forests. 439 440
- First step: Give Soul Beasts humanlike appearances. 439
- Second step: Develop human intelligence. 439
- Third step: Grant access to humanity’s Martial Soul cultivation system. 439
- Fourth step: Enter human villages, cities, sects, armies, and institutions; reproduce and spread their heritage. 439 440
- Ultimate objective: Produce Soul Beasts who can cultivate as humans, ascend to the God Realm, and challenge the order that defines Soul Beasts as prey and resources. 440
For high-level Soul Beasts, Bafu proposed reproduction with humans as the fastest route to humanlike descendants. For weaker Soul Beasts, he offered replicated human flesh and blood as a method of breaking reproductive isolation, supported by a small world where time passes thirty times faster. 442
Gu Yuena endorsed bloodline evolution under two conditions: participation must be voluntary, and evolved beastmen must retain their Soul Beast origins and recognize her as sovereign. Di Tian and the ferocious beasts subsequently agreed to support the plan and halt direct attacks on human cities while coordinating through Star Dou’s leadership. 441
