Background / History

Original Class 1-C

The original Class 1-C is led in practice by Ryuen Kakeru, who consolidates control through extortion and violence against his own classmates. Hoshida No records Ryuen assaulting a student over unpaid “class fees” and uses the evidence to sell him information on the school’s hidden point-deduction rules for 1.2 million personal points. 21

Ryuen later subjects Class D to sustained harassment, including rummaging through lockers, intimidation, and tripping students during physical education. Evidence gathered by Class D, supported by testimony from Class B, results in a written reprimand, a 30-class-point penalty, and a 500,000-personal-point deduction for Class C. 35

During the Class War, Class C relies on aggressive occupations and attempts to disrupt other classes through rumors and divide-and-conquer tactics. Ryuen’s false claims of a secret Class C–D channel damage his class’s credibility after Hoshida shares referee intelligence with Class B and exposes Class C as the source of a false rumor. 38 39 Class C finishes the war in fourth place with 1,140 CP. 40

Promotion of the Former Class 1-D

The class that becomes the new Class C begins as Class 1-D. Its early recovery is driven by Hoshida No’s purchase and distribution of the hidden point-deduction rules, which pushes students to take attendance, conduct, and academics seriously. 19 23 24

The class earns 180 points through the midterm and approaches the original Class C. Hoshida organizes study sessions and provides mock papers based on past materials, while Hirata Yousuke and Kushida Kikyo handle coordination and participation. 25 29 31

Following its second-place finish in the Class War, the former Class D reaches 870 class points. It overtakes the original Class C’s 678 points and assumes the Class C designation. 40 42

Point-Deduction Rules

Hoshida No purchases the school’s hidden deduction rules for 500,000 personal points, then trades the information with other classes and persuades his own class to adopt the rules. The resulting awareness changes Class D’s previously lax atmosphere into a focused study environment. 19 20 23 24

Midterm Recovery

The class faces expulsion risks tied to the class average, with Sudou Ken only 0.5 points above the threshold in English. Hoshida’s perfect scores add 50 class points, while the class organizes group tutoring to protect weaker students. 25

Conflict with the Original Class C

The original Class C harasses Class D under Ryuen’s influence. Rather than retaliate physically and risk penalties, Class D gathers evidence and brings the matter to the student council, ending the harassment through formal punishment. 35

Class War

Starting with the lowest allocation of 250 CP, the class adopts a decentralized command structure under Horikita, Hoshida, and Hirata. 36 It forms a limited alliance with Class B, uncovers hidden resource rules, wins a public debate for 150 CP, and uses intelligence warfare to counter Ryuen’s attempts to fracture the alliance. 37 38 39

Hoshida secures a 1,000-CP loan using over four million personal points as collateral, allowing the class to select the Shadow Game final mode. The class obtains 1,000 CP in Secret Treasures, but ultimately finishes second behind Class A. 40

Promotion to Class C

The former Class D formally becomes Class C after surpassing the original Class C in class points. Hirata credits the result to collective effort, while Chabashira warns that the class can still fall back if it becomes complacent. 42
