Jeno's burly frame crouched beside the Waver, like a giant bear guarding its food. His thick fingers carefully toyed with the milky-white Breath Dial he had removed. He had even produced a set of precision disassembly tools from who knew where, ready to take apart this contraption that defied everything he knew about the Blue Sea.
"Wait! Sir, Breath Dials are living skeletal structures. If you forcibly break the shell, the storage function inside will be completely destroyed!"
Pagaya frantically waved his hands and hurried to stop the mechanic, whose eyes were blazing with excitement.
"Living?"
Jeno stopped what he was doing and knitted his brows, but the excitement in his eyes only grew. He grabbed Pagaya by the collar and lifted the middle-aged man into the air. "Mister, you just said this is a mode of transportation unique to Sky Island. Besides these shells that shoot out wind, are there other kinds of Dials up here?"
"There are!" Pagaya swallowed and answered nervously. "Besides Breath Dials, which store wind, we use Heat Dials and Flame Dials to cook our meals, Flash Dials for lighting, and Tone Dials for recording sounds..."
"Are there any that can be used in battle?"
Sabo, who had been listening from beside the ship's rail, had keenly picked out the key point.
"In battle?" Conis held the pure-white little fox in her arms. A trace of fear flashed in her eyes, but she answered honestly. "The Priests and the guards usually use a weapon called an Impact Dial. It can absorb an enemy's physical attacks, then release that destructive force in full in an instant. But the recoil is so strong that ordinary people can easily hurt themselves."
"Absorb physical impact, then reflect it in full?"
Jeno was utterly stunned. After
