"How could you cast a genjutsu on everyone? How could something like that even be done?" Obito asked with a frown. Just thinking about it felt unimaginable.
Madara replied calmly, "You only need to use the moon in place of these Sharingan, casting a genjutsu projection over the entire ground. That way, you can create an ideal world."
"That sounds too exaggerated. I can't understand it all at once."
"If I were to explain it, I'd first have to start with the Sage of Six Paths and the Ten-Tails." As Madara spoke, an ancient mural automatically appeared before them. A colossal beast with blood-red eyes churned heaven and earth, its ten tails clearly visible behind it.
Beneath the beast stood a figure holding a staff.
"Aren't the Sage of Six Paths and the Ten-Tails figures and monsters from myth? What do they have to do with this?" Obito continued asking.
"Myths are grounded in reality. It only seems unreal because so much time has passed. The nine Tailed Beasts scattered throughout the world were formed when the Sage of Six Paths divided the Ten-Tails' power long ago," Madara explained calmly.
"What proof is there for something like that?"
"There is. The fact that I stand before you now is the strongest proof. After the Battle of the Valley of the End, I transplanted Hashirama Cells into my own body. Later, the two powers combined, awakening the legendary eyes of the Sage."
As Madara spoke, the white space changed. Before Obito's eyes appeared the scene of an aged Madara awakening the Rinnegan.
"Of course, those Rinnegan are no longer on me. As for where they went, I'll tell you later. Besides that, the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path you saw is, in truth, the shell of the Ten-Tails."
