"That is... a Yin-Yang Release barrier?" Hyuga Tamamo narrowed her eyes slightly. Her gaze pierced through layer upon layer of obstacles, taking in everything within; not even the barrier could block her sight.
"Where did that giant come from? He's actually overwhelming the Third Hokage and Danzō!" she muttered, shifting her gaze elsewhere. She could not care less whether the Third Hokage and Shimura Danzō lived or died.
But the next moment, her gaze sharpened, and she cried out instinctively, "Hinata?"
Her expression changed slightly, and her figure suddenly vanished.
She could ignore everyone else in Konoha, but Hinata was one of the few Hyuga juniors she found agreeable. More importantly, she was the only disciple Tamamo had taken since the Warring States Period. How could she not care?
Bang!
At the Konoha Academy, two figures were sent flying backward. The Adamantine Staff spun rapidly through the air, having already slipped beyond its owner's control, before falling to the ground moments later.
One eye opened, and Enma's weak voice came through. "Sarutobi, I can't go on. The rest is up to you."
With a bang, white smoke rose, and the Adamantine Staff disappeared, returning to the summoning realm.
Hiruzen Sarutobi was unable to answer. He sat collapsed amid shattered rubble and broken walls, his condition describable only as miserable. Blood spilled uncontrollably from his mouth, and half his body was drenched in it.
The stone pillar behind him had collapsed, and the school building had been reduced entirely to ruins. The scene was beyond mere misery.
Danzō stood in front of him and asked anxiously, "Sarutobi, can you still fight?"
Hiruzen Sarutobi gave a bitter smile, then spat out another mouthful of blood. "It looks like I can't. Danzō, find a way to get the children out if you can.
