Under the threat of dog meat hotpot, Pakkun exerted every ounce of strength he had to search for Hinata's scent. Unfortunately, the scent had truly vanished from that point onward, leaving no clues whatsoever.
Seeing Naruto's expression, Pakkun immediately shuddered. Without a second thought, he said, "Kakashi, I just remembered I have something to do. Don't summon me again for the next few years."
The moment he finished speaking, he turned into a puff of white smoke and vanished before anyone could react.
"He ran fast," Naruto said through gritted teeth.
Kakashi sighed helplessly. "All right, what do we do now? The trail has been completely cut off." Naruto racked his brain, then turned his gaze toward Shikamaru Nara. At a time like this, Shikamaru should have a solution.
Shikamaru shook his head decisively. "Don't look at me. I don't have any ideas. I'm not good at missions like finding the entrance to a hidden realm."
Naruto fell into deep thought. After a moment, he said, "There's no other way. We can only make a trip to Mount Myoboku and ask the Great Toad Sage for a prophecy."
Though he often acted foolish and naive, Naruto was by no means truly stupid. At critical moments, he still knew how to make use of the advantages available to him.
Kakashi's eyes narrowed. "Naruto, you actually know about the Great Toad Sage? Did Lord Jiraiya tell you?"
Naruto curled his lip and did not answer. How was he supposed to answer that? Was he supposed to say that in his previous life, not only had he gone to Mount Myoboku, but the Great Toad Sage had personally made a prophecy for him?
Though that prophecy did not seem to have come true now. Come to think of it, was that old frog
