On a bridge somewhere in the Land of Iron, Shisui Uchiha blocked Danzo's path. Behind him, Uchiha Itachi appeared as well.
"Two Uchiha brats. Damn it." With a resentful snort, he began considering how to fight the two of them.
This plan was a desperate gamble he had made after lying low for so long. Akatsuki was clearly no longer reliable; only a few minor players remained. Uchiha Madara was not someone he could use, and that so-called Zetsu was far too mysterious.
He could only seize this chance to assassinate Minato Namikaze with everything he had. As long as Minato was dead, he would still have room to make a comeback.
Konoha's internal factions were complex and ever-changing. Minato Namikaze might currently hold overwhelming influence, but once he died, there would still be people willing to support Danzo. Clearing his name would not be difficult.
This was his only option. He had not the slightest interest in Uchiha Madara's so-called Infinite Tsukuyomi; he even despised it from the bottom of his heart. Escaping into an illusory world was not peace. Peace in this world required unity forged through iron and blood.
"Danzo, surrender peacefully. You should understand Konoha's rules. First, you deserted the village as one of its high-ranking officials. Then, you joined the dangerous organization Akatsuki. Now, you have even attempted to assassinate the Hokage. Such grave crimes require judgment by all of Konoha. Do you have anything to say?" Shisui Uchiha asked with righteous resolve.
Danzo gave a cold laugh, unable to even muster the interest to speak. His hands suddenly came together. "Tree World Descent!"
