"Two o'clock direction, move forward!"
Roger's voice rang out across the deck, and all the crewmen sprang into action. The Oro Jackson swiftly sailed toward the distance.
Through the mist, a ship cut through the waves at high speed. A distance of three hundred nautical miles took barely over two hours.
When a pitch-black, chillingly sinister island emerged before them, everyone's eyes widened.
Shrouded in mist, the black and terrifying island was covered in dark rocks as far as the eye could see. Jagged boulders rose everywhere, and the silence was so complete that not a single sound came from it.
By all rights, these pirates had seen their fair share of the world, yet they still shuddered instinctively when facing this island, as though some terrifying existence stood before them.
Still, it had to be said that when they first laid eyes on the island, the word that sprang into everyone's mind was indeed "devil."
"This is...?" Rayleigh stared gravely at the completely uncharted island. "I have a bad feeling about this. It's best not to act rashly in a place like this."
"Captain, let's turn around. I keep feeling a cold wind at my back!" Buggy said in terror, tears nearly falling from his eyes.
Roger smiled. "Ah, it's just an island that looks scary. There's nothing to fear. Besides, if we don't get supplies soon, everyone on this ship will starve to death at sea. Buggy, choose your own path."
Faced with that question, Buggy immediately fell silent.
As his smile faded, Roger waved his hand. "Drop anchor. Prepare to land!"
"I'll stay behind." Shin spoke calmly, and Roger gave him a puzzled glance.
"Watch the ship." With that calm response, Shin headed toward the cabin. Roger scratched his beard but asked nothing further.
