Hades had once promised that if Orpheus took his beloved and never looked back along the way out of the Underworld, he would let them leave. Of course, if he looked back within the Underworld, then everything would change...
Orpheus naturally agreed. As long as he could bring his beloved back to that world filled with sunlight, what did it matter if he could not look back? He could definitely do it!
But Pandora had other plans...
That was right. Orpheus's music had given Pandora some different ideas as well...
Pandora was also skilled at playing the harp, but her music differed somewhat from Orpheus's.
Her instrument was a massive harp, while the one in Orpheus's hands was a delicate konghou. If they could perform a duet, Hades would surely like it.
So long as Orpheus could be kept here... everything would be easy to handle.
As for... how to keep Orpheus here...
Orpheus traveled day and night through the Underworld with his beloved!
The Underworld was a place eternally shrouded in darkness. Other than faint ghostly flames, there was no other light. Yet Orpheus suddenly saw an enormous beam of light ahead of him!
"Ah, it's the sun! My love, look, it's the sun! The eternal sun is calling to us!..."
Orpheus thought that entering that place filled with brilliant light meant leaving the Underworld and returning to the earth!
But it was not. It was not!
That was not the sun! It was merely... an Underworld Specter known as the Harpist of the Underworld, unleashing a tremendous light through his Cosmo!
Orpheus had been deceived. He turned around and saw his beloved sealed within a small stone hill!
"My love, my love... how did you... become like this...?!"
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
From then on, Orpheus played the harp for Hades
