Agate lunged toward Tita!
That bullet did not hit Tita. It hit Agate instead!
"Hmph, do you think a mere bullet could injure a C-rank bracer like me...?"
Agate swung his Heavy Sword, enduring the gunshot wound that had pierced his shoulder as he slashed at the intelligence operative!
"Hehe, I'm not going to take you head-on." The operative retreated with several injured comrades onto the intelligence operatives' exclusive airship. "Agate, your strength is indeed impressive, but you still fall short of our captain. You have a long way to go before you can catch up to him!"
Agate suddenly felt a sharp ache in his shoulder and dropped to his knees!
"Brother Agate!" Uchiha Madara hurried over.
Agate waved his hand, signaling that he did not need help. He picked up his Heavy Sword and slung it across his back, then turned to face Tita and angrily scolded her, "This is all your fault, kid. Do you know that if you hadn't suddenly appeared and disrupted our tactics, your grandfather would already have been rescued?"
Uchiha Madara knew Agate was telling the truth. Though they had not rehearsed their tactics, they were all bracers who had been through trials and understood basic coordination. Uchiha Madara had already defeated several intelligence operatives. As long as Agate successfully took down the operative on the airship, they could have rescued Professor Russell. Even if Agate's frontal assault failed, Uchiha Madara's ambush would surely have succeeded under Agate's cover. But all of that had been ruined by little Tita's reckless actions. No wonder Agate was so furious.
"Brother Agate, let's not be too hard on Tita. She may have been reckless, but she meant well. She wanted us to win, didn't she?" Uchiha Madara reached out and patted Agate's uninjured shoulder.
