Uchiha Madara led Forte and the others into the waterways through the village sewers.
Inside the waterways, they found a massive cavern. Uchiha Madara said, "I never expected such a cave to lie beneath a village like this. The terrain here must be incredibly complex."
Evan nodded. "Yes, the terrain is very complicated. And figuring out exactly where the water comes from will take quite some time."
Mel suddenly pointed at three strange purple creatures in the distance. "We may not know where the water comes from, but I think the source of the poison is right here."
Following Mel's finger, they saw that the three bizarre purple creatures were covered in purple rings, like webworms spinning cocoons around themselves. That glaring purple color immediately put Uchiha Madara and the others on guard.
"Looks like we found it. Purple, and disgusting too." Uchiha Madara said, "Let's go deal with these things!"
The group wound their way through the cave, struggling from one side to the other. This enormous underground cavern was practically a maze, filled with magical beasts and animals that gave them no small amount of trouble.
McBain was the first to rush up to the three purple creatures. "Looks like we were right. These purple things seem to give off an awful stench. And they're standing right in the water!"

A wooden dragon burst out from Uchiha Madara's body! It tightly bound the three creatures and dragged them onto dry ground! They saw that the purple creatures seemed to have neither heads nor proper bodies, yet purple liquid kept streaming from their lower halves!
