This was a city in the south of the otherworld's capital, called Aplot. Like every other place in this world, the city faced the severe threat of the Moon of the Otherworld. Before the Moon of the Otherworld had formed, Aplot had been a city whose economic lifeline was agriculture. But now, it could only occasionally rely on mutated seedlings to sustain itself. Industry had been completely abandoned, and all land was used to cultivate those seedlings. Even every usable patch of land around each household had been planted with them, yet very few ultimately survived.
In this other world, Aplot was one of the few remaining cities. Other than it, only the northern royal capital of Esfin could still be considered a somewhat lively place. As for the other cities that might exist in this world, even its own people no longer knew of them. Due to the Moon of the Otherworld's influence, many places had become utterly dark, and no one dared cross those regions of absolute darkness.
Such places of absolute darkness were called the "Land of Eternal Night" by the people of this world. Aside from Aplot and Esfin, every stretch of sea from east to west had become a Land of Eternal Night. They did not know whether any other inhabited regions existed beyond those lands, and as for whether anyone still lived within them... according to that man from the other world, it was nearly impossible.
