Uchiha Madara leisurely watched the matches at the tournament arena all day. The matches were truly quite exciting. Though it was only the first round of preliminaries, there were plenty of highlights. For instance, a little brat wearing a watermelon cap who called himself Chiaotzu had actually used a shockwave released with nothing but a finger to send a huge, two-meter-tall fat man flying out of the ring in a single move. Then there was a three-eyed guy called Tien Shinhan, who grew two extra arms from his back and ultimately used all four hands to throw his opponent out of the ring.
Although these people were not in the same group as Uchiha Madara, he had never seen combat in this world before, so there was no harm in watching a little more.
He knew very clearly why he had come here.
Darkness—a shapeless darkness shrouded this martial arts tournament. He had entered the tournament solely to stop that darkness from expanding and engulfing the world.
So he could not simply put everything out of his mind after finishing his matches. He still needed to study and investigate what had gone wrong, and where that darkness had come from. At present, all he had were vague sensations. He needed to use his eyes to turn those blurry impressions into something clear.
Yet after the day's matches had all ended, he had discovered nothing.
"Master, can we leave now?"
Lloyd stared blankly at Uchiha Madara, his bright, crystal-clear eyes blinking. He had already spent one night sleeping on the floor, and his whole body ached from it. He did not want to keep suffering like that. Since Goku had said that he would sponsor their stay at an inn starting tonight, Lloyd naturally wanted to return as early as possible.
