The fifth round of the World Martial Arts Tournament's second-stage preliminaries soon came to an end.
In the sixth round, Goku had an important match. He considered it the toughest fight of the preliminary stage: a showdown with Liu Sanqing.
Over the first five matches, Goku had achieved five straight victories, and Liu Sanqing had done the same. Both had already secured qualification. This final match would merely determine who was the strongest in their group.
For Goku, however, there was another important mission—investigating Liu Sanqing's identity and finding out why she had entered the World Martial Arts Tournament. Chi-Chi had to be kept in the dark, but Uchiha Madara knew about it.
With Earth's safety at stake, even Uchiha Madara, its savior, could not afford to take it lightly.
Another night passed, yet the black entrance to the Shenron Tribe still did not appear. Uchiha Madara kept watch until midnight before returning to the inn. There were matches the next day, so he could not push himself too hard.
At last, the sixth round arrived. Vegeta and Trunks qualified without issue, while Tien Shinhan was eliminated. After a hard-fought battle, Piccolo finally defeated his opponent and barely advanced as the top-ranked fighter in his group with five wins and one loss. His opponent in the final round also had five wins and one loss, and seemed quite formidable. Like Liu Sanqing, this person had never participated in the World Martial Arts Tournament before.
As for the girls, Chi-Chi was once again knocked to the ground by a single punch from an opponent dressed in black in her final match. Bulma, though she struggled to win, had performed too poorly in the earlier rounds and failed to qualify.
The next matches were the two main events. The first was Uchiha
