"Our inn charges two silver coins per night. Since this is your first time here, and our little establishment isn't familiar with you yet, could you please pay for the room in advance?" the owner said to Uchiha Madara.
"That won't be a problem." Uchiha Madara smiled. "I should pay the room fee in advance."
As he spoke, Uchiha Madara began to take out his money. But the moment his hand reached for his wallet, his mind went blank.
The wallet he always kept on him was gone.
That couldn't be possible, Uchiha Madara thought. He had always kept the wallet on his person and had never taken it out. There was no way it could have fallen somewhere along the road.
But when had it disappeared? Uchiha Madara recalled the journey he had taken.
When Xing En and he had eaten at the dwarves' tavern in Traveler's Land, they had traded one of Xing En's stones for a meal. He had not taken out his wallet then, so it definitely could not have gone missing at that time.
But he had not encountered anyone else along the way. There was no reason for his belongings to disappear.
Though Uchiha Madara thought so, he suddenly tensed and quickly checked the place where he kept his magic stones.
Then Uchiha Madara relaxed. His magic stones were still there. Only his wallet and the treasure map were missing.
Yet even now, Uchiha Madara could not remember when his wallet and the treasure map inside it had disappeared.
Uchiha Madara recalled what had happened afterward. Ever since he had saved that little girl, nothing else had happened, and he had not encountered anyone.
"Sir?" The innkeeper saw that Uchiha Madara, who had been about to take out money, had suddenly stopped and seemed
