"You don't need to worry so much about me stealing your things. You know what I'm capable of. Even if you slept on the floor, I could still make a move," Belaque said with a smile.
"I just don't like sleeping in beds. Why should a ninja sleep in a bed?" Uchiha Madara said.
The two went to sleep separately. In the middle of the night, Uchiha Madara suddenly heard a sound.
When Uchiha Madara rose alertly, he found that Belaque was already sitting up as well, looking through the window at the sky outside, which had begun to pale.
"What's going on?" Uchiha Madara asked. "What is that sound? It feels like an alarm."
"This is the standard warning signal used across the Elzeran Continent. When this horn is sounded, it means monsters have arrived," Belaque answered.
Uchiha Madara looked out the window as well. "Coming at this hour... these monsters have some intelligence. They chose the time of day when people are at their weakest in battle."
Shouts gradually began to ring out. It seemed that the horn had awakened everyone in the inn.
"Should we go take a look?" Belaque said to Uchiha Madara. "Since the battle has only just begun, I think you could still be of some help."
"Let's go have a look. I also want to see what the monsters in your world are like," Uchiha Madara said with a smile.
Belaque moved to open the door and head downstairs, but Uchiha Madara stopped Belaque. "We go from here. At a time like this, how can we use the door?"
"We can't leave through the front door?" Belaque asked, somewhat confused. "Isn't it all the same no matter where we leave from?"
"Of course it's different. If we walk straight out the front door,
