"This wasn't the sound of celebration." Uchiha Madara looked ahead and said to Belaque, "This was the sound of slaughter on a battlefield. I could already smell blood, and I could already hear the warriors' cries."
"There were more monsters?" Belaque thought for a moment. "Was that wave at dawn not the last of them, but merely the beginning?"
"Didn't you say these monsters had no intelligence?" Uchiha Madara looked at Belaque. "They used that first wave as a suicide squad to make the defenders lower their guard. Once everyone in Red Rock City relaxed, the real attack began."
"This was the monsters' full strength." Uchiha Madara smiled. "And they were organized and disciplined. Their intelligence was definitely not as low as we joked it was. On the contrary, they were highly intelligent."
"Even if the monsters are intelligent, how could they come up with tactics like this? This is a military strategy. Aren't monsters supposed to do nothing but charge forward mindlessly?"
"It would be best if the monsters came up with this tactic themselves," Uchiha Madara said after some thought. "Otherwise, there might really be someone commanding them."
"That's impossible. How could humans stand on the same side as monsters? Whenever monsters see humans, all they want is to eat them. Two different species like that could never stand on the same side," Belaque said to Uchiha Madara.
"There's no use talking about it now. We don't know the real reason behind these monsters. Let's hurry over," Uchiha Madara said. "If we get there sooner, I think we might still be able to help."
The two hurried forward. Before they had gone very far, Uchiha Madara saw that every side of Red Rock City was surrounded by a vast black mass of all kinds of monsters.
Belaque stared
