"My reactions could completely keep up with this thing's speed," Belaque said.
"I'm very surprised by you too," Uchiha Madara said to Belaque. "I think it's normal for Kaguolet to be able to see it, because he's already very strong. But you're different—you could actually keep up with the monster's movements too."
"You aren't someone suited for combat by nature. I didn't expect you to be able to keep up as well," Uchiha Madara said with a smile.
Kaguolet thrust his spear into the monster's body. The monster seemed not to feel it at all. Although Kaguolet's attack had struck true, it did not alter the thing's movements in the slightest.
The demonized man forced his body through Kaguolet's spear and bit down again.
"So this thing's only means of attack is its mouth," Belaque said with a smile. "If that's the case, there's nothing to worry about."
"Other than their teeth, humans have nothing else they can use to tear each other apart. This is clearly humanity's most instinctive method," Uchiha Madara said.
The demonized man was incredibly fast and exceptionally persistent. He had only one target: to bite through Kaguolet's neck.
But as the pride of Eternal Sun Royal City, how could Kaguolet allow a demonized man to bite through his neck so easily?
The pride in his bones told Kaguolet that he absolutely could not lose. Light had to defeat darkness.
Though that was what he thought, Kaguolet was not having an easy time dealing with it. This demonized thing was truly formidable.
The people atop the city wall could no longer make out the two figures' movements. They could only see one black and one white streak of light tangled together, separating now and then before instantly becoming entwined again.
"They're somewhat evenly matched," Belaque said
