"You're either a god or a madman," Belaque said to Uchiha Madara.
"Somewhere in between," Uchiha Madara said with a smile.
As the two spoke, the Blue-Feathered Griffins beneath them suddenly came to a stop and let out cries of reluctance to go any farther.
Belaque smiled at Uchiha Madara. "You've been saying you wanted to go down and rest, yet now you don't seem to have the slightest intention of doing so. Even the Blue-Feathered Griffins want to offer you their opinion."
Uchiha Madara was helpless. It seemed these arrogant creatures truly did not want to submit to human control. Before he had even ordered them to stop, they had already stopped on their own.
"I think these two things are just as spoiled as you," Uchiha Madara said helplessly. "They don't even want to take one more step."
"I may be spoiled, but these Blue-Feathered Griffins aren't," Belaque said to Uchiha Madara. "They've undergone the harshest training since birth, and all of these griffins have gone into battle alongside paladins. They aren't spoiled at all."
"They've already stopped," Uchiha Madara said speechlessly. "Since they don't want to keep going, let's land here and rest for a while."
Uchiha Madara looked down at the ground. Although it was getting late, he could still see the vast expanse of white below.
He had no idea whether it was snow that had fallen at some point or frost that had built up over the years. This freezing weather, paired with that endless whiteness, made the chill seem to seep straight into one's eyes.
