"You could tell from the color alone. This place never looked like a proper forest to begin with." Belaque said to Carter Binda with a smile.
"You can tell just by the smell here. How could any living creature possibly like this smell? Animals have very sensitive noses." Belaque said.
"When we first came in, didn't you sense someone's presence? I think if we find that person now, we might get a lead on the Magic Stone." Uchiha Madara said.
"But that person is very cunning. They've been avoiding detection the whole time. I don't think it's just one person." Carter Binda said.
"Think about it. If someone had lived in this black forest for years, couldn't leave on their own, and then encountered three outsiders, they'd definitely be overjoyed. It'd be like meeting their saviors." Carter Binda said.
"If circumstances allowed, I think they'd definitely celebrate." Carter Binda said with a smile.
"I thought what you said made a lot of sense, but that last part about celebrating—that's purely Winterfort style." Uchiha Madara said helplessly after hearing Carter Binda's words.
"If the person here really is from Winterfort, then I think they really would celebrate." Uchiha Madara said.
After hearing Uchiha Madara's words, Belaque felt that it was indeed quite possible.
"This was originally within Winterfort's territory. Do you think that person from earlier might be from Winterfort?" Belaque asked after thinking for a moment.
"Impossible. He absolutely can't be from Winterfort. If anyone from Winterfort sensed my presence, they'd definitely come running over in wild celebration." Carter Binda said.
"..." Uchiha Madara said speechlessly, "Is that really necessary? Why would they be so happy to see you?"
"Wouldn't it be enough to just walk over? Why make so many gestures?" Belaque said, equally speechless as she picked up
