"I don't want this kind of luck," Carter Binda said helplessly. "I can't let the reputation I built over my lifetime have even the slightest stain."

Now that they had reached the frozen figure, none of the three could tell whether it was a person or some kind of creature.
Looking at its upper body, it had a human shape, but its skin was gone, as were its nose and eye sockets. It looked utterly horrifying.
Its mouth was stretched into an enormous grin, and its teeth had actually grown all the way down beneath its ears.
Although its upper body looked human, when the three looked at its lower half, they found that it had completely turned into tree roots.
"So this is a tree person too, but it seems different from the ones we saw before," Belaque said.
"The ones we encountered before seemed to slowly turn into trees, but this one has a human upper body and a tree lower body," Belaque said.
"Can you sense the presence of a Magic Stone on this person?" Belaque asked Uchiha Madara.
"No." Uchiha Madara shook his head. "I can't sense the Magic Stone at all. That's very strange."
"So that means this person wasn't actually corrupted by magic. He's simply a tree person, just still in the initial stage and not fully transformed yet," Carter Binda said after thinking it over.
Uchiha Madara looked at the terrifying-faced man and shook his head. "I don't know what's going on either."
"But judging by his appearance, it seems like he can talk. Once he gets out of this ice, we can ask him what happened," Carter Binda
