The old monkey endured the excruciating pain, watching helplessly as the black monkeys pulled out his tongue. His mouth was full of blood. By now, he had stopped screaming. He stared at his long tongue lying on the ground, his thoughts unreadable.
"So this teaches you a lesson." Uchiha Madara smiled at the old monkey. "At your age, do you still not understand that one should spare others whenever possible? A monkey is just a monkey, after all."
"Who are you?" the old monkey asked Uchiha Madara.
But to the old monkey's surprise, he clearly heard his own voice.
The old monkey thought that since his tongue had been torn out by the man before him, there was no way he could speak. Yet he had clearly just spoken, while his bloody tongue was still lying on the ground.
As he thought about it, the old monkey discovered that his tongue had vanished. The tongue that had been lying there covered in blood was now gone, and he could still speak perfectly well. Could everything he had seen before have been unreal?
The old monkey began to suspect that what he had seen had all been an illusion. The black monkeys' eyes were no longer blood-red either; all of them had returned to normal.
"Can you give us the Magic Stone now?" Uchiha Madara said to the old monkey with a smile. "Everything I showed you just now was an illusion. But if you refuse to give me the Magic Stone, what you saw may become real."
"I don't know what Magic Stone you're talking about," the old monkey said to Uchiha Madara. "Who exactly are you? Why have you come here? We have no grievance against you, and we have only been in this place for two days."
"There
