"I didn't know whether, all these years, I had been doing the right thing or the wrong thing." Di Sifeier looked at Latro as she spoke.
"I killed those people in this country who used to bully us. I gave the women of this country freedom. But I never felt like a hero. Instead, I felt like a murderer." Di Sifeier said.
"Maybe you were right. It's time for us to go back. We've stayed in this country for too long. This place isn't suited for us." Di Sifeier said.
As she spoke, Di Sifeier walked step by step toward Latro across from her.
Latro seemed unable to hear anyone's voice now. Other than muttering to himself, he showed no other reaction.
"Big sister," Alustriel called out to Di Sifeier.
The Latro before her made Alustriel feel somewhat uneasy. The strength he possessed after being demonized was not something Di Sifeier could handle.
But Di Sifeier was clearly not afraid at all. She nodded at Alustriel and continued walking forward slowly.
When the muttering Latro saw Di Sifeier approaching him, he stopped repeating himself and stared blankly at her.
As Uchiha Madara watched Di Sifeier walk over, she opened her arms and gently embraced Latro, who was covered in black aura.
"I'm sorry. I've made you suffer all these years. Let's go home," Di Sifeier said.
Latro stood motionless, like a man turned to stone.
Uchiha Madara and Alustriel both watched tensely. No one knew what would happen next. After all, the person Di Sifeier was holding was a demonized monster.
As Di Sifeier held Latro, two trails of clear tears ran down her face. She, too, felt that the person she had wronged most over the years was this man who had come with her from the elf race.
