But after analyzing it, Uchiha Madara felt that there probably was no danger. If there had been, Ximaida's expression that morning should have told him so.
Nothing in this country should be able to escape Ximaida's notice. If something had truly happened to Harinod, Ximaida should have told him as well.
"You really do receive special treatment," Ximaida said to Uchiha Madara. "Do you know how few people in this world have me personally bring them food?"
"Thank you for the trouble," Uchiha Madara said with a smile. "I don't know how many people in this world you treat this way, but I have a very good impression of your country."
"Is it our country that you have a good impression of, or me personally?" Ximaida asked, looking at Uchiha Madara.
"Both," Uchiha Madara said.
"You can see what an entire country is like from one person. You represent your whole country," Uchiha Madara said to Ximaida with a smile.
"But you can't just leave me standing at the door forever," Ximaida said.
"Other than bringing your food over, do you expect me to hold it up and feed you too?" Ximaida asked, looking at Uchiha Madara.
Uchiha Madara quickly took the tray of food from Ximaida's hands.
"Thank you. I'll come find you after I finish eating," Uchiha Madara said.
"I know you're busy, so I won't disturb you any longer. Hurry up and get back to your own business," Uchiha Madara said.
"You really don't know how to be grateful," Ximaida said helplessly, shaking her head. "I came all this way to bring you food out of kindness, and you're already sending me away."
"That's not it. I'm doing this for your sake too. This is a
