Watching Qiying Fofeng leave his room, Uchiha Madara felt that this matter had finally passed.
Uchiha Madara thought to himself that this was truly over now. There would be no more trouble, and he could finally get a good night's sleep before leaving this place the next morning.

The next morning, the old city lord personally came to see them off. He was exceedingly courteous and had prepared an entire box full of gold coins.
Uchiha Madara grabbed a handful from it and said with a smile, "No need for so much. This is already enough."
"How could that possibly be enough?" the old city lord said.
"You two masters have solved so many problems for our country and saved the life of the girl I cherish most. Even this small token of gratitude already feels rather inadequate," the old city lord said, looking at Uchiha Madara and Qiying Fofeng.
"We did not come here to help merely for money. This handful of gold coins is enough for our expenses on the road ahead," Uchiha Madara said.
"You should keep the rest," Uchiha Madara said with a smile.
"You two truly are enlightened masters," the old city lord said admiringly. "Facing a whole box of gold coins, you remain completely unfazed and take only what you need."
"I took this handful because we need it. If we did not need it, I would not take even a single coin," Uchiha Madara said.
