"You really are a bad person." The princess said to Uchiha Madara, "I've already decided to go with him, yet you're still trying to sabotage the relationship between us."
"I don't think I can take you with me." Qiying Fofeng looked at the princess, his expression extremely serious and leaving no room for argument.
Neither the princess nor Uchiha Madara had expected Qiying Fofeng's answer. Uchiha Madara secretly felt a bit pleased. He hadn't expected Qiying Fofeng to have some sense after all.
"Not bad, kid." Uchiha Madara said with a smile. "I thought you were brainless, but I didn't expect you to be able to tell right from wrong."
"Won't you give me a chance?" the princess asked Qiying Fofeng.
The princess looked terribly sad.
"It seems I was mistaken." The princess put a smile back on her face. "Since that's the case, then I wish the two of you a safe journey."
"It's not that I don't want to give you a chance. It's just that I can't give you a better life," Qiying Fofeng said.
"You're the princess of this country, adored by countless people. But if you follow me, you can only become an impoverished ordinary person. I don't even want to live that kind of life myself, so how could I possibly make you suffer through it with me?" Qiying Fofeng said.
"That's a decent excuse." Uchiha Madara said to Qiying Fofeng with a smile. "To come up with such a good reason in so little time, you're quite a clever young man."
"This isn't an excuse," Qiying Fofeng said. "You're a girl I admire, so I believe that the most comfortable life and the finest environment in this world are what suit you best."
