"I don't know anything about what you're talking about, and I'm not clear on it either." Uchiha Madara said with a smile. "Right now, I just need a room to stay in. Is that really so troublesome?"
"Not troublesome at all, not troublesome at all." The owner hurriedly said, "But I think it would be better if you sat here for a while first, sir."
"No vacant rooms?" Uchiha Madara looked at the owner and asked. "If there aren't any rooms available, I'll go somewhere else."
"Surely not every little tavern in your country is out of rooms," Uchiha Madara said.
"There are rooms, of course there are," the owner said with a smile. "But I don't think you'll be able to stay at our little tavern."
Uchiha Madara found the owner's words extremely puzzling. It was obvious from their conversation that the owner of this tavern did not want him staying there.
Uchiha Madara found it rather unbelievable. He was looking for a place to stay, not refusing to pay—so why did the tavern owner look so troubled?
"You seem unwilling to let me stay here," Uchiha Madara said with a smile. "I don't know what happened, but if you're unwilling, I won't make things difficult for you."
"When one is away from home, one should cause others as little trouble as possible. I understand that much," Uchiha Madara said.
Uchiha Madara thought about it. If this place did not welcome him, then so be it.
He could simply go somewhere else. Could everyone in the entire country possibly be unwilling to welcome him?
