Uchiha Madara had begun to think that Chayin Lianji had arranged for Nili Yaxi to come to his room for no reason other than to keep him here. But hearing Nili Yaxi say this, it seemed that was not the case.
"What did you come here for, then?" Uchiha Madara asked.
"You really are different from other men," Nili Yaxi said with a smile. "When most men find a beautiful woman in their room, the first thing they think about is what to do, not what they're supposed to do."
"I'm not in the mood for that." Uchiha Madara smiled at Nili Yaxi. "What I'm worried about now is your city lord trying every possible way to keep me here."
"I think you're one of those ways." Uchiha Madara looked at Nili Yaxi.
"I don't know either." Nili Yaxi smiled. "I don't know why he sent me here. All I know is that he told me to come keep you company."
"That won't be necessary." Uchiha Madara said to Nili Yaxi, "I've been alone for so long that I'm used to it."
"I won't feel lonely. You should go back now. It's getting late, and I won't take up any more of your time," Uchiha Madara said.
"How could that do?" Nili Yaxi stood and slowly walked over to Uchiha Madara. "A moment of spring night is worth a thousand gold pieces. Don't you want to cherish such a beautiful night?"
"To me, every night is the same," Uchiha Madara said.
"But tonight is different. This will be the most wonderful night you've ever experienced in your life." Nili Yaxi placed a hand on Uchiha Madara's shoulder.
Uchiha Madara shook his head helplessly and removed Nili Yaxi's hand.
"How much did he pay you?" Uchiha Madara asked with a smile.
