Although Uchiha Madara had considered many possibilities in his mind, he had never imagined that this young girl before him was the old man's granddaughter.
Uchiha Madara recalled that when the old man had first entered, his eyes had been red, as though he were barely holding back tears.
"Are you my grandfather? How come I never knew?" The young girl remained perfectly composed as she smiled and said, "No one ever told me that I still had a grandfather in this world."
"From the day you were born, I cherished you like the apple of my eye. That was for a full fifteen years, until the day something happened to you," the old man said.
"I traveled across the Elzeran Continent just to learn your whereabouts. Ten years have passed, and I finally found you," the old man said.
Uchiha Madara saw the old man growing more and more emotional. "I thought I was already so old that I might never see you again in this lifetime. I never expected to meet you today."
"From the time I started searching for you until now, exactly ten years have passed," the old man said.
Uchiha Madara watched the old man tremble with emotion. It was obvious that he was not lying, yet the young girl before them showed no reaction at all.
Uchiha Madara thought about it. If the old man was telling the truth, then the young girl before them should have been twenty-five years old. Yet she still looked only fifteen or sixteen.
"Ten years?" Hearing the old man's words, the young girl smiled. "And you have the nerve to bring up ten years? Ten years isn't long at all. It passes in the blink of an eye."
The old man said nothing, and neither did Uchiha Madara,
