Uchiha Madara's first thought was that something had happened, because he knew Kelana would definitely be waiting for him in the room.
Inside the arena, the princess's encouragement had raised everyone's spirits, and the shouts of killing grew even louder. The thick stench of blood gradually spread throughout the entire Royal City.
Uchiha Madara could now be certain that Kelana was not in the room, but he had no idea where she had gone. So he went outside first.
Uchiha Madara wondered whether Kelana had disguised herself as a guard and stayed by the princess's side. With that thought in mind, he headed over to the arena.
The entire arena had become a roaring sea of voices because of the princess's appearance. Everyone had gone blood-eyed with killing, while cheers constantly erupted from the crowd of spectators. Uchiha Madara truly could not stand this bizarre atmosphere.
"Contestant Number Five of Group Eight, get ready!" Uchiha Madara heard the referee call out.
Uchiha Madara froze when he heard that. Wasn't that Kelana's number tag? But Kelana should not have appeared now.
Uchiha Madara kept staring at the two guards beside the princess, but they were too far away for him to tell whether either of them was Kelana in disguise.
Besides, makeup was not a genjutsu. Even with the Sharingan, Uchiha Madara could not spot any flaws.
At that moment, Uchiha Madara suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure among the crowd. She was slowly walking toward the arena.
"Kelana!" Uchiha Madara knew that figure better than anyone. Kelana was slowly making her way toward the platform.
Just as Kelana reached the edge of the platform, Uchiha Madara stepped forward and grabbed her arm.
