Uchiha Madara's second sword flew forward again. This time, he cleaved the thing that had attacked them into two.
It was a two-headed snake glowing red all over. Now that it had been split in half, both of its heads had been cleaved straight down the middle and fallen to the ground. It looked like two snakes that had been stuck together had been forcibly separated, a truly miserable sight.
The snake that had been cut in half did not die. Its imposing aura had merely weakened greatly from before, yet even so, both of its heads were raised high. They flicked their cold tongues as they stared fixedly at Uchiha Madara.
Uchiha Madara stepped forward, and the sword in his hand flew out again.
"Stop!"
A loud shout came from afar, accompanied by several concealed weapons that seemed intent on preventing Uchiha Madara from killing the two-headed snake.
Uchiha Madara's sword flew out again. With several clangs, it knocked all the incoming concealed weapons to the ground. Silier and Vastiya looked down and saw that they were several plum blossom darts.
Uchiha Madara ignored the shout. After knocking away the concealed weapons, the sword in his hand flew out once more. This time, it passed directly through the two-headed snake's vital spot. At last, the two-headed snake was truly dead.
Just then, someone flew out of the forest at great speed. Her gaze first fell upon the thoroughly dead two-headed snake on the ground, then she glared furiously at the group of three.
Seeing that the newcomer was a young girl, Uchiha Madara withdrew the sword in his hand and did not attack again.
Uchiha Madara had stopped attacking, but the girl with the two-headed snake clearly had no intention of doing the same. She pointed at Uchiha Madara
